We're in the Big Ten West, so I don't think we're allowed to win the conference.....We're kind of like your SEC East....just there so the conference can have a championship game.
Been watching your guys for the last 3 weeks. Improvement every week. Nice work with North Western. You look poised to run the regular season. Gotta improve for the conference championship, but still, playing unexpectedly leading into the season. If LSU missed Atlanta, could be a re-match in a bowl game... ...but we are playing for Atlanta.
We still have much to prove..... to the media....and to ourselves.... but it's been fun so far! LSU has a real shot this year. I know you're all worried about getting a passing game together to support your run game, but it appears every top team has a definable weakness this year. It will be a wild stretch for all as we hit November...just win, baby, right??
Don't even think it. Nothing against Iowa but the idea of playing them in a bowl again just doesn't excite me. If we don't make the playoffs we should have a great shot at the Sugar Bowl against the loser of Baylor-TCU. Will be either LSU or Bama in the playoffs and either LSU or Bama in the Sugar
Good perspective. It's real easy for me to complain about the flaws LSU has, and I've said it before, I'm guilty as hell, but I tend to forget sometimes that everyone this season is flawed majorly. No one has looked dominant except maybe Baylor. Baylor gives up more points per game but they tend to only play offense in that league. There could end up being more than 4 undefeated teams at the end of this year, hell, could be few 1 loss teams a bunch of 2 loss teams, you just can't tell.
all this bama talk means lsu is overlooking their next opponent. (I'm just pointing this out to those stupid enough to think it matters) I bet the TO #s are hurt somewhat by LSU's high TOP. the team is progressing nicely. all teams have relative weaknesses, especially if you are looking at stats to find them. if I had to chose a weakness for my favorite team, I'd chose ST.
All this Bama talk means the fans are overlooking Western Kentucky. Doesn't mean the team is taking them lightly
Bama is the juicer matchup. The key is to win the SEC first and foremost. I think we have all discussed the need to take WKU seriously and there is a need, however it's not as juicy a matchup from name recognition. Like it or not this is the game that Tiger fans look forward too the most and it's on the horizon, so while we all know WKU is dangerous and shouldn't be taken lightly, I'm not sure people here are taking them lightly. This is pretty well informed board because there aren't as many posters on it, our herd has a few that need to be keeled off but for the most part people here know what's up.
