Red Zone defense is a serious problem. Teams that get close score at will. And we are not causing many fumbles.

Strange things are afoot at the circle k. The script has been flipped.

At least the kickoffs were almost all into the end zone. Forget about all that pooch kicking for the rest of the season.

White should never run back another punt. He catches ever put up high near his helmet and shoulder pads. I'm surprised he hasn't fumbled before now. I know coaches don't like to use freshmen on punt returns but Guice would have to be a big improvement. White just makes too many bad decisions. One game he fair caught the ball on the 2 yard line. Other times he tries to return it when he should be calling for a fair catch.

As far as punt return defense there need to be some wholesale changes in the personnel. I don't want to see starters getting injured but something must be done if not yesterday right now. BDP knows the handwriting is on the wall. If he wants to save his job he must fix this now.

it was bad but getting worse because they've lost all confidence now. hesitancy on ko and punt coverage will equate disaster. everyones hoping someone else makes the play. and they arent. gotta have a completely different mindset. maybe let Coach O coach em up. have some want to make a tackle.

Maybe not a bad idea for O to take over some of the special teams coaching. He seems to be able to instill the kind of desire in his players that Peveto can't.

The question is, would you rather have a great offense and a bad special teams and eh defense or a great defense great special teams and eh offense?

The greatness of out offense is due to #7 and the O line. The rest of the supporting cast is OK but not great, at least yet. I knew we were thin at LB and D line but I didn't expect the secondary to become a liability. And I certainly didn't expect the total breakdown of special teams. Without LF7 and the O line we are a mediocre team. Fix the D and ST and we could achieve greatness.

Not sure how a position coach with those rankings keeps his job at a top tier program having a potential "special" season. It's not against the rules to make a change mid season Leslie.

Start a thread about it, Izzy. Your "fire Grimes" thread really lit a fire under his ass last year.
