I will not watch or read about college sports at all. It is now simi pro sports. As far as I am concerned the games should not be played on a college campus. Should be league of its own.

I agree. College football is an absolute cluster freak and it's only going to get worse. I watched a couple of LSU games from the 70s yesterday and I'm seriously thinking about just getting Youtube TV. At least then, I can watch some old games when it was just about football and not all this NIL and transferring crap!

some of us here warned years ago that NIL was going to destroy 130 years of tradition, which was college football,.. some here argued in favor of paying the players, that everything would be ok, they were short sighted,.. ..it's not going to be ok

I don't have a problem with players getting paid. The problem I have is the NCAA allowing NIL to begin without any guidelines, which is absolutely asinine considering college football was already one of the dirtiest businesses to exist.

And I have told you, the ncaa had nothing to do with it. Look, far be it for me to defend those clowns but this was a court decision.

While not exactly on NIL this from Dandy Don is pretty interesting.
    2. In football recruiting-related news, the NCAA Division I Football Oversight Committee is considering abolishing the 25-man signing limit for at least the next two years. Given the transfer movement, leaders are considering allowing coaches to sign unlimited recruits in a class as long as they remain at the overall limit of 85. Also, Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated reports that virtually every conference is considering eliminating divisions.

Here's my question. Who exactly is going to enforce that simple 85 man roster ( regardless of number signed) if the NCAA is completely dissolved? Who are Bama & A&M accountable to?
