    The LSU girl who threw 235 pitches in 2 complete games in one day came in the game in relief the next day and pitched the rest of the game. Maybe softball pitching is more like bowling than it is baseball pitching. After Lange throws 115 or so pitches no way he is going to pitch again for a week.

    They recruit the hell out of traveling squads now. I'd make a comparison to the shoe circuit in basketball but I'm not sure that's the best analogy.
