NCAA probe of USC complete - College Football - Rivals.com After almost four years of investigation, the NCAA’s probe into the University of Southern California athletic program has reached a conclusion. Sources familiar with the investigation have told Yahoo! Sports that the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions will meet Feb. 19-21 to address what investigators uncovered at USC. According to typical NCAA procedures, if sanctions are necessary, they will be determined and then made public via a news conference within six to eight weeks of the February hearing. NCAA spokeswoman Stacey Osburn declined comment. The NCAA’s website indicates the next meeting of the Committee on Infractions will occur Feb. 19-21 in Tempe, Ariz.
I do find the timing a bit peculiar. I don't expect anything to come out of it, but the investigation finalizing only after Bush has to come public, and Petey leaving does seem odd. Also, with one of USC's top recruits holding out on signing his LOI until after the findings come out makes me wonder if he is hearing some sort of rumors that have him concerned.
Of course he is hearing it, probably from schools like Ohio St I would think. He may be waiting a while too because even though the case comes up in a couple weeks the penalties wont be announce till around April. How long is this guy gonna wait?
