I know the blogosphere has been talking about this, but the NCAA put out an official release: http://www.ncaa.org/wps/ncaa?ContentID=45914 If you watched any of the Olympics online, it should be the same quality. I thought that was spectacular for streaming video. MMOD will again show all games instead of just the early rounds. DirecTV will have a PPV package so you can choose from any game, all in HD - http://www.ncaa.org/wps/ncaa?ContentID=46624. CBS College Sports (CSTV) will show MSU vs. Washington and Louisville vs. Morehead State, so if you don't do PPV, you can still watch those on TV instead of online.
Here's a screenshot from LSU at Kentucky: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5083/cbshq.jpg I'm going to hook up a PC to a 32" TV for the games, that should be a nice way to watch a game that's not on in my region. .................... And another screen shot. Notice the video quality setting at the bottom. You may have to hover your mouse in that area to get the controls to come up, then manually click on the + to set the video quality to best. http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/5196/cbs2hq.jpg
Even more awesome news, they are streaming all games to equiped cell phones, including the iphone http://awfulannouncing.blogspot.com/2009/03/so-you-want-to-watch-tournament-on-your.html SWEEEEEEETTT!!
yeah, my sister called and told me about that. she loves basketball the way i love baseball and is beside herself she is so excited.
I saw an official release from CBS, but being iPod deprived I didn't think to post it - http://www.cbspressexpress.com/div.php/cbs_sports/release?id=21214 If you want to get a preview of online coverage, the SEC Championship will be in high quality on Sunday at Noon CDT: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/video/live/player
I wasn't sure where to put this, and it didn't deserve it's own thread, so... CBS College Sports, the old CSTV, will broadcast two of the first round games in HD. So if the game isn't available in your region on CBS and and you have access to CBS College Sports, then you can watch it on TV instead of online. Thursday 3:45 PM – 5:45 PM - Mississippi State vs. Washington Friday 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM - Louisville vs. Morehead State I would guess the MSU game would be of interest to some here, I know I'll be watching it.
Is she the one in that commercial ruining the baby shower while checking scores and highlights on her phone? Is your real name Nancy?
