Without reason? Everyone forgets the first incident that hit the wires was Manziel in a shoving match with a GA at practice. They know what they have on their roster and are choosing the play the cards they hold.
It seems so many miss the true point of Manziel's actions and the likely penalty he will pay. First he doesn't seem a bad kid and is doing what I may have done at his age (absent the fights)and what most of us would have liked to do given the chance. He had fun as a kid and if he weren't the Heisman winning QB of a potential championship team it would be no issue. However THAT IS WHAT HE IS. He is carrying the Aggies on his back both in games and in reputation. He failed the team and while he could repair that with performance this year I bet his lack of focus on football will cost him and the aggies dearly. Football is one of the most team oriented sports there is. Players are stars only as a result of a team's work. What JF did was let down his team. He played and didn't prepare and has shown lack of maturity and respect of the game. He has let his team down (they know it whether they say anything or not) just as TM7 did last year. He and the Aggies will reap their reward for these actions on the field (as did LSU last year). Whether he has a real future in the NFL based on talent and physical characteristics is yet to be determined. Whether or not he has a future based on his maturity is also a question. I think as with TM7 character is counting for more these days in the draft. My thoughts are that the aggies will suffer much for this summer's activities whether JF is suspended or not. The rules have nothing to do with this. People it is his fault and his alone.
Easy there. I have LSU finishing second you know. But for hype, this one is gonna be off the charts. I thought it appropriate with this johnny football thing to go full circle. You know, Bama giveth, Bama taketh away, kind of thing.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought he was a redshirt freshman last year, so wouldn't he be eligible for the draft after this season since it will be three years removed from him graduating from high school?
They found the goods for sale on EBay and contacted seller and had auction removed. Sux, I was gonna snipe it last sec...
Not only is that true, I've heard a few of the NFL media members discuss his eligibility to apply for the supplemental draft if he is ruled ineligible for collegiate play.
