Because we lost today, and that isn't anyones fault but our own, an undeserving team will be playing in the NC. It'll be Ohiost. vs West Virginia. Kansas will lose to MIZZ, MIZZ will lose to OU. Hopefully after this year the money hungry hot shots who came up with the BCS will think about a playoff system. I know if we wanted to play for the NC we shouldn't have lost 2 games, but the schedule that any SEC team plays trumps all others. So get out your popcorn. LSU will be SEC champs and we get to watch to horrible teams playing for the NC.:geauxtige
Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FRAUDS I think if you call anyting FRAUDS, it would be the play of our offense in the first half! No #1 team in the nation should ever play like that.
Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FRAUDS It doesn't really matter. Unless KU beats MU and OU or UT (UT still has a shot if OSU beats OU)....which I think is anything but certain........then no one really deserves to be #1 this year. All I know is I'm cheering for UCONN pretty hard tomorrow. I don't want WVU anywhere near that NC game. OSU I can live with, WVU not so much.
Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FRAUDS Honestly, no team deserves it this year. There's not one, much less 2 teams, that deserve to play for the NC this year.
So does that mean that you wouldn't watch the Super Bowl unless the contenders were undefeated? It is years like this when there are no CLEAR #1 and #2 teams that a playoff system seems like a great idea. Actually, it's a great idea anyway. The BCS system puts too much pressure on the players. They're students, too, you know. The weekly pressure to perform has to wear them down some, if not a lot. Maybe now they can relax, have fun and play some football with enthusiasm instead of fear of failure. ldskule:
Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FRAUDS I tend to agree. Game has the real potential to not generate much interest around the country this year. That's too bad. New Year's Day may have more excitement this year, which is the way it should be anyway. :thumb:
Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FRAUDS even if LSU would have made it to the big dance the intensity that was there in 2003 was not there this year. I'm glad it's over
