Where did things go wrong? The defense played well enough for us to run off with the game, so it wasn't defense.

The offense was pathetic. To say that the game plan and play calling was vanilla would be a complement. We kept doing things that did not work, such as the screen passes. Even the option plays failed and there did not seem to be a plan B in case they didn't work. We just kept doing the same old things that did not work. There was not even a hint of inovative play calling. It should be obvious by now that we are in need of a new OC. This was an issue I brought up some time back in a thread I started and was raked over the coals for even suggesting such a thing. But I looked at our offensive stats and saw that, with the exception of points scored, LSU's offensive production was very mediocre. The limitations of Coach Stud finally became obvious to everyone last night.

Why Coach Miles did not yank JJ after the first half I have no idea. What harm would it have done to try Lee? At least try something. I would even have liked to see Mett put in for a series or two if for no other reason to throw a curve at Saban. But there were no curves or fast balls thrown in this game; just slow balls down middle. Opps, did I say down the middle? Very little was thrown down the middle. Few long balls to open up the run game and put Bama back on its feet.

All in all, it was the most pathetic exhibition I have ever seen by an LSU team. The only good thing about last night is that it will be the last time we will have to see JJ in purple and gold.

This OP will sound harsh to some people, but I must concur.

BTW its embarrassing to watch a sophmore QB outperform a multi-year starter.

I still can't believe that Jefferson was allowed back in the game after that INT.
