The general consensus... tarheelhoops Redshirt 189 posts this site Posted: Yesterday 4:11 PM RE: Count Me In.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Man, some of you guys must take the ESPN SEC suckfest for real. If you have watched LSU at all the last few years, then you have seen a steady decline in their talent and play. We are not playing in Death Valley.
imo, both teams probably feel like they have a lot to prove. for unc, they probably feel they need to prove they are more than the players let go. that they are a team. and i hope like hell our guys feel they have to prove that the last two years were not the norm and that this year they plan on kickin ass and takin names. all season. its gonna be interesting to see how both teams play. next saturday cannot get here soon enough. poor greenie. he's about to get a weeks worth of me bouncing off the walls while waiting! lol
Yeah, in the last two years LSU has declined in recruiting rankings from #2 to #6. UNC however hauled in an impressive #9 followed by #29. And in the last two years LSU has declined from 8-5 to 9-4 while UNC improved from 8-5 to 8-5. Les is so stupid and on such a hot seat that his salary declined from $3.5 million to $3.95 million. UNC would walk all over LSU this year if it wasn't for Nick's recruits, of course. It's simple math for anyone who watched LSU at all in the last few years. Why do you guys take the ESPN SEC suckfest for real?
Uh, fellas.....we have fans like this person on LSU's boards, too. Just not (many) on this forum. I seem to remember that Bama was gonna suck and fail miserably last year because their QB was horrible and, of course, Rivals ALWAYS over-hypes their recruiting classes....:hihi: Dude is a total tool. But it's a deep tool box...
Obviously, good factual points with appreciated sarcasm, but all is not rosy for CLM and the Tigers. You have to admit that the product on the field has underperformed the last two years, and while you can point to overall records, recruiting rankings, etc, they are not the same team production wise that they were. Now, I am as optimistic as anyone, and appreciate your positivity. I think that this year will be very different in terms of what we see on the field, and an actual improvement in some of the facts you point out to boot. I am not a CLM basher, but I am not happy with the offense under CGC (never have been, even the NC season) and expect to see significant improvements this year. I mean the only way they can go is up given that one little nugget you left out, #112 in offense nationally  I haven't posted to much speculative stuff this season, but I really think the Tigers offense comes out of their shell this year and surprises a lot of people. That combined with a stout defense, and I expect us to contend for the SEC Championship and possibly NC this year! Of course, with preseason comes high expectations, so lets just get to the season already and get it on - I am beyond ready!
Aside from the clock fiasco in the Ole Miss game last year, name one game we lost that we were expected to win.
ok, i hate what our offense has become, but how can you not have been satisfied with the highest scoring offense in school history?
