I hope they cancel the whole season. Bunch of greedy whiners don't know what a good thing they've got going.

I heard a few months ago that six of the NBA owners are also NHL owners and wanted to drastically change the NBA system like they did with the NHL. They knew it was probable that so many concessions from the players could cancel most or all of an entire season and were fine with going that route.

Although I haven't been into (fake) wrestling since I was about 8 yrs old, I think the NBA players should put together a few "BasketballMania" events if there is no season. For example, have some undercard events with various NBA players mixed in with some of those streetball players and possibly retired players (Jordan, Shaq, etc.), with a Main Event pitting teams led by Kobe vs. Lebron. Maybe have the first one at the Garden in NYC and a few others in big cities.

This is true although I do not know the exact number.

Bottom line is that what the NBA had was a bad business model and it was destined to fail without changes. Whoever approved the last CBA should have had his ass kicked because that is the reason we are in this spot today. This is completely on the players at this point and they should have taken the deal they were offered yesterday. I doubt it will get any sweeter for them.

I heard one of the players say how they were gonna form their own league just to figure out a few "details" like insurance, stadiums etc......what a bunch of morons

Yes! I hope there is no such thing as NBA ever again. making millions as a salary AND they want half the profits? what? my company doesn't share half their profits with me.
I guess they think they can make more money with a "real" job? haha, good luck.

Nothing makes me happier than watching these guys implode the league. What idiots. What pisses me off about basketball is that you can see guys constantly loafing around the court and taking off plays and even minute at a time. Then these same guys get a 6 year $100 million dollar contract. It's ridiculous. If you take a play off in football, you're pretty much out of there.
