Kind of like you know the refs go against LSU in every game?

Kobe and CP3 have had almost identical seasons as far as arguing for the MVP. How one could say one clearly deserves over another is absurd.

And CP3 gets more attention than you think combined with how many people hate the Lakers, so they will vote for the underdog, which is a wrong reason.

    Me likey spinny things too.

    Thanks Purple

Clair, I take back my Rockettes comment from before.:hihi:

I like how the Rockets play as well. Pretty similar styles with everyone contributing and another picks up the slack if one falls off. Main difference is pace.

The first two paragraphs sum up much of what we were saying.

    1) you shouldn't vote against him because he's a dirtbag; and
    2) you shouldn't vote for him based on his career achievements

Each voter sets their own rules regardless of what the award claims to represent. That's why I'm not a big fan of these awards. This writer makes it sould like he's due. I don't agree but I don't get to vote.

I do get to voice my opinion though and I think that reasoning is stupid. Oh well, many people enjoy being sheep.

Even Kobe knows that Shaq was the more important half of that duo.

    19 and 16 tonight

They are guaranteed #1 seed if San Antonio loses tonite (they are down 9 with only 6 minutes to go vs the Suns)

They will have a 2 game advantage and the tiebreaker over SA with only 4 games to go. The race would effectively be over.

Can anyone clarify if they hold the tiebreaker over the Lakers? They have beaten them 2 out of 3 but have to play them later this week. What's the next tiebreaker? They both have 33-15 conference records.

It looks like the voters gave the nod to Bryant due to career accomplishments.

Sorry...Chris Paul...you had a slightly better year but they went went the career veteran over the new guy.

I can honestly say that I'm no surprised. At the same time, this was a tough decision I'm sure. They were both very equally qualified. Given that, I don't believe Kobe has ever won NBA MVP and he's been such a dominant player in the league throughout his career that it was his time.

Don't worry though, Chris Paul is what, 22 years old? He's got PLENTY of years left to win multiple MVPs. Besides, I think CP3 winning an NBA title would be sweet revenge with Kobe taking the MVP.
