both... Malone couldn't have dominated without the great PG and Stockton couldn't have excelled without the dominant player to pass to. 50-50. More Stockton making Malone in my opinion, though, because every dominant point guard has made some of the players around him great. not every great player has made the point guard around him dominant.
50-50 as well. They were a well oiled machine while playing together almost their entire careers. I loved watching them and my boy Hornacek go at the game relentlesly. Hornacek had his trademark multiple leg braces in his old age and he and stockton, the little guys on the floor, just were downright dirty. In a good way.
Chris Paul will undoubtedly win the MVP. Kobe's chance went out the window when Gasol got hurt and they could only manage a mediocre 5-4 record in his absence. It exposed Kobe and his inability to win games on his own or make the players around him better. Congrats, Mr. Paul. You deserve it. Hornets were a borderline playoff team coming into this season. Hornets have all but wrapped up the #1 seed in the West. Chris Paul had a triple-double today.
considering that a ton of the people who vote have probably never seen Paul play all season and considering that Kobe has never won MVP in his career and Paul still is just a 3rd year player, Kobe still gets it.
Im sure you didnt watch the Lakers games before Gasol got there and many seem to forget what people thought of this team coming into the season. They were an after thought to even the Hornets. I would be fine if CP3 won it but I am not going to justify it by making things up against the other candidates to make mine look better. :rolleye33:
that is very spot on. I remember the Rockets beat them on opening night by a buzzer beater 3 and I remember being pissed that it took a buzzer beater to beat the "lowly" Lakers.
Being we bump this when C Paul does well, I am not a big-time Hornets fan, so I will bump it when he does poorly. solid, solid 4 pt performance at home tonight for the MVP candidate.
I still think he is worthy of the MVP but I have yet to see him have a good performance against Darron Williams.
Because Deron is a better PG than he is. I said this in one of the NBA threads. I don't know which one. Williams has no hole in his game. He shoots just as good, passes just as good, defends just as good and is 10 times stronger. Williams doesn't post the big, fat numbers because Utah doesn't get up and down the floor quite as much, but I take Williams if I have the 1st pick of the PGs.
