From reading a few articles over the past month, it seems obvious that Stern and the media slanted the lockout coverage significantly in favor of the owners. When I was a kid in the '80s, the NFL, NBA, and MLB were the big 3 in no particular order. Now, the NFL is king. For me personally, the NBA is #2 with MLB a distant third. The athletes playing in today's NBA are extremely talented. The mix of American & international players makes the league so much better. Having villains like Kobe & Lebron is great for the league. There are so many likeable guys to root for in the NBA right now that the typical blaming of thugs just doesn't make much sense. CP3, Dwight Howard, Dirk, DRose, Duncan, Ginobli, Kyle Lowry & Kevin Martin (if looking for more of a likeable underdog duo), seeing how The Jimmer adjusts, will the Lakers continue to decline, Blake Griffin, etc.
When the Lakers come to town I might be driving to OKC to see the games It's not that far away for me.
