This morning on ESPN First Take: "Should the Lakers trade Westbrook to the Pels for Herb Jones and Jose Alvarado?"
I've had either ESPN or FS1 on in my office all day, and I've heard exactly 0:00 of talk about the game last night. I've heard hours of discussion about He Who Shall Not Be Named (the gutless loser who spent a year at LSU and is now making excuses for not suiting up for Brooklyn).
Game 5 loss was not really a surprise. Phoenix came out with the kind of energy we had in game 4, which was expected. They crashed the boards and consistently beat us to loose balls. And we didn't shoot well. The real difference (and this is what I think will be our biggest liability going into '22-23) is the lack of a true point guard. You watch the Suns, and CP3 is driving, drawing the defense and kicking out to the open man. We stand around the perimeter, wait for the ball and then try to create a shot off the dribble. CJ has been a huge asset but he doesn't create opportunities for his teammates when he's running the offense.
it used to be rumoured zion wanted out, wanted to play in madison sq garden. now he says he would happily sign an extension for NOLA goddamnit why cant that guy just be healthy long term it would be so fun! this core plus zion and the top draft picks coming, it would be a crazy fun team to watch ingram mccollum zion tari eason valenciunas
Some NBA social media wannabe is reporting that the Nets have offered Durant to the Pels, asking for BI, Nance and draft picks. Griffin said no. I concur.
AP reporting the Association will retire the number 6 in honor of Bill Russell. Players now wearing the number can continue, but their teams cannot reissue the 6 after those players leave.
