    and don't forget it.

I've often argued this with foo foos who try to say the SEC Championship trumps all.

If this were true why isn't ANYONE taking solace in that fact today? Cause it's bullchit by comparison.

    That is all.

While the SEC Championship is nice, nothing trumps the Crystal.

2011 SEC Champs baby! we beat the national champs, the pac ten and rose bowl champs, the big east and orange bowl champs, the cotton bowl champs, the SEC east champs, etc.

one of the greatest seasons in LSU History, it exceeded my expectations.

the offense was the only thing that wasn't great, but I'm excited to see how we look with a brand new QB next season

but yeah, obviously i'd rather a national title over an SEC title, and that hunger should drive our players next season

I am one on the other side. I said earlier this year for me the hardware is in the barn.
Its the only thing we play for that is NEVER in dispute it is always settled on the field.
No voters, no polls, etc. Yes I am aware in the event there is a tie the polls play. But it is the ONLY trophy us in the SEC play for that you literally control your own destiny.

The BCS is not that way, every year there is an argument. Auburn, USC that year.
Its not settled on the field.
You could argue this years wasnt settled. Okie State has a great argument to claim.
You could argue (I would not agree) our game proved nothing. we are 1-1 against each other.

So for me and I know I am in the minority I have always though the BCS title although nice to brag about has issues as the SEC title does not. It is won on the field and not in the media.

Alabama was the benefactor this year and essentially got to erase their earlier loss to us. Like it never happened. "Here try again"
We got the benefit the year we lost two games. So I am not complaining win some lose some.

But I have 4 SEC Championship shirts, and I will always wear them proudly.

I am still bitter you guys got jobbed that one year.
No team undefeated in the SEC should ever be denied a spot in the Mythical NC.

This thread is for those people who argue for a playoff.

Ready for a 3 loss national champion who just had a good day?
Ready for the regular season to mean squat?

I would argue that point had LSU lost by a field goal, or something really close. But when you get drummed like we did, there is no arguing it.
