don't worry, I'm with you. How people still think Ronald Reagan was anything other than a huge pile of steaming shit is beyond me.
Obama is thoughtful but not risk-averse, certainly not a dove. Reagan was cavalier and a grotesque propagator of the military-industrial complex at just the time it should have been waning. and he shouldn't be revered for military service. He was basically a war propagandist and flat out lied to heads of state about military service. Political fact embellishment is one thing, but he was a liar. He was potus but shouldn't be able to get a ts security clearance now.
Reagan was a mixed bag. He ran as a conservative, but he Presided as a moderate. He slashed taxes but he raised spending. He won the Cold War by spending the Soviet Union into bankruptcy, but he secretly traded TOW missiles with our Iranian enemies.
Ah, this thread just reinforces the reasons why I've stayed away from the FSA page. I do find the national security/military operations topics highly entertaining, however.
