FOXNews.com - National Security Adviser Says Airline Bomber Report Will 'Shock' Americans

This whole incident just points out that the system was never fixed.
The 9/11 commission and some of their suggestions are a joke.
Just because a bunch of bureaucrats come up with an idea doesn't mean it is a good idea or that it will fix things.
I was against the whole idea of expanding the government when all they had to do was connect the dots, bureaus communicating and working with each other.
We don't need any new restrictions, all that does is inconvenience the customers and create a better need for an airline bailout and possibly failure.
We need to quit punishing Americans for something Muslim extremists do.
We need to take a look at the way the Europeans and Israelis secure their airports.

I think the terrorists are actually winning this war.
Look at all the Chaos and havoc they have created in this country.
    Homeland Insecurity, Patriot Act, etc.

We need to let the airlines protect their own property. Not the govt bureaucracy.

You would think differently if you were flying 100,000 miles a year including international flights.

The Constitution gives the Congress no authority to regulate airline safety. :hihi:

I don't understand why the report will shock us but will look for it when it comes out.

Also, why isn't everyone in government on variable pay. I mean seriously, low base salaries with incentives to cut costs in their departments and to produce effective results. That's how it works in the real world.

Maybe it is because Obama and counterterror chief, Michael Leiter didn't cut his vacation short?
Remember what happened to Bush and I bet it will be no cry from those on the left.
That isn't the way government works.
The government gets free money from the taxpayers and can use or waste it however they wish.
They can always raise taxes, can't hardly wait to see people who voted for Obama complain about higher taxes!

The airlines have more interest in their own property than the govt. Very similar to banks protecting their money via armored car..

And read Red's post... I beginning to think he is more of a conservative than you.
