Quite a few years ago now, George Bush helped steer me that way along with Obama. Patriot Act, etc. They just renew that every year when it should have been a temporary Act. You don't see either side giving up any power or giving freedom and liberty back to the people. You also have the TSA doing what they do at airports and now they are working with police in Tennessee at road blocks. Next the Senate passed a bill so that the military can hold American Citizens in indefinite detention. The president has a kill list, who supervises all of this? Bottom line is that your government can label you or do anything they want to to a person whether guilty or not in the name of terrorism. The same can be said for global warming, they will be able to control your life style. I think I have posted some of these articles here...You can argue, sure that this is only for terrorists but really aren't we going down the wrong road here? Do people not acknowledge their rights and freedoms being lost? No trial, no due process to an American Citizen?

There are some Democrat Senators also trying to make the 1st Amendment a privilege and not a right. The government is out of control and that includes Democrats and Republicans, they are all the problem. I don't think any of this is the right way to go. All the government had to do is fix the original problem which was to fix the immigration issues in this country instead they decided to take away rights and freedoms from innocent American Citizens.

Once we have caught terrorism and locked it up or launched it out to some distant star then things will go back to normal. Until then we will not let terrorism take our liberties and freedoms. The govt. will take them for safe keeping.

    Veto New Police State Law

Never thought America would come to this...
Looks a little more like those Fema camps people made fun of, not saying it WILL or IS going to happen but one could easily see how it could lead to that....

how come you have only been patted down once, and i have several times, even tho i dont fly near as much as you?

oh yeah, that whole can hide explosives in a cast thing. i didnt like it, and i thought the pat downs were excessive, except for the one time the cast did test positive for explosive materials. but i understood the reasoning for testing the cast, and that one pat down.

I guess I have an honest, Republican looking face.
