Congrats again to the Tigers for winning a National Championship!

How will this affect recruiting over the next 30 days until national signing day, February 6th? Do you guys seeing us as more likely to pick up a couple more surprise prospects?

Sure seemed like the NC helped Florida a ton last year, but perhaps they were just loaded in their own state. Or maybe their recruiting arm is ws just really strong with urban Meyer.

Anyway, I really hope this helps to bring even more prospects to this great university. Looking forward to LSU being a program that consistently attracts great players from across the nation.

They say that NC's help your program recruit a couple years down the road, and certainly being able to point to 2 NC's in the past 5 years will.

But I don't see us winning this one game for the NC making a big difference to this class. We were going to finish this class strong regardless, and they recruits knew we were one of the top teams in the nation the entire season.

It may land us 1 guy that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

Yeah, I'd say thats spot on. Probably won't make a gigantic difference this year, but it may help sway a recruit or two looking for something to seperate LSU from other programs hes interested in.

National Championships usually help you with the NEXT year. Kids already know where they want to go this year, and I'm sure most kids knew we we're gonna win anyways ;)

I suspect one of the effects of the NC win will be that it will solidify the commitments that we have already received so we don't get any unpleasant surprises on signing day.

Great point. I didn't even consider that angle.

Sounds like we can expect good things for the next few years!

:geaux: :crystal: :helmet: Totally agree with that!!! Nothing worse that have a commitment "changing his mind" on signing day. Would think that the NC should lock up everyone we have so far.
Dandy Don wrote today the there was rumor from a Baton Rouge radio station (I think that's what he said) that LSU had a commitment yesterday or last night. Anyone heard anything regarding that????:geauxtige :champs: :LSU231: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal:

Rivals has an article up today where they talked to some of our commits and got their reactions to LSU winning the NC.
