We've all heard that Dorsey is a candidate for Heisman. Is this a realistic outlook? This year has had some incredible ups and downs, who'da thought Kansas might be playing for the NC? They weren't even ranked. I lived in Kansas City for a few years and their team was a joke even to the locals.
Even at ESPN, there are a few honest columnists. Here's one for you to check out:

How about an honest vote for the best player in college football, even if he is a defensive player?

I love me some Dorsey, but we have never seen the likes of what Tebow is doing, and like the writer said, in the SEC!

The most we can hope for at the moment is an invite. Tebow has pretty much locked the heisman up. I think Dorsey has earned an invite:geaux: :geauxtige

I agree 100%. I would be elated if Mr. Dorsey were to get a much deserved invite to the festivities in NYC.

He won't get the Heisman (too easy to double/triple-team a DL and keep his stats reasonable looking). Heisman is a beauty contest....ergo (he doesn't read this board, does he :( )

However, he's up for a sh!tload of awards and I bet he fills up a trophy case!

Charlie, I've already tried to get them to rally for Dorsey on another thread, didn't work! Everybody wants "the freak"!

NC, Heisman, and don't forget that Steltz is up for the Thorpe Award...what a way to go out!

However, I did read an article somewhere and the guy listed Dorsey, McFadden, and Tebow as the three....and he had some very good things to say about Dorsey! I'd love to get the fans behind this one to show the team, the coach and EVERYONE that we are here....to stay! And, I hope LM does the same.

I hear the opinions here but there's one giant drawback for Tebow. He's an underclassman. I think this will hurt his chances tremendously. I realize Dorsey has been double and triple teamed all year, but his numbers are still outstanding. Tebow is a freak and I truely believe he'll win it eventually if not this year. Heisman voters are HARD to predict. We'll see.

I really don't see the big deal on tebow...
His passing stats are good, but not great...
Everyone is enamored with him because of his rushing touchdowns... He is having a Bettis year... He is their goalline back... He doesn't do anything amazing with his feet... thats reflected in the fact that he only gets 4 yards a carry and a long of 25...

Not saying he isn't good, but statements like "we have not seen the likes of him" are ridiculous... Vince Young was twice the passer tebow is and 10 times the runner...
