Nate Newton can get a press release from prison, interesting?

After the Spurrier and Saban experiment, I thought all NFL clubs shunned college guys. I personally, don't think that is smart, but anyone breaking the media's law will be called a fool.

Anyway, I like the fact that OUR coach is being mentioned somehow for the job, since there is a reason to go get him, unlike the guy that failed the Dolphins.

Yeah I heard a Rumor Saban is looking for a house in Dallas about two weeks ago. That would be hilarious.

Of all the people mentioned in this thread, Jason Garrett is the most likely. I don't think Les wants the job, Cowher and Gruden won't get the control they demand, and really, i don't think Garrett will be the right guy either. The team is so far gone that I don't think an insider can get them back.

Fan and media reaction to Garrett's promotion has been tepid at best. Can't see the Cowboys winning enough games this year to change the perception and for Jerry to take the 'interim' off of Jason.

BUT the lockout is a wild card and could affect Jerry's decision making.

This morning, I got a text from the guy who does the midday show on ESPN Radio Dallas, and he said he's hearing it'll be Fox from Carolina.

My first thought: Why, oh why, would Dallas hire someone who's about to be fired elsewhere?

Honestly, Jerry Jones could hire papa smurf and it wouldn't shock me. He has hired some buffoons, Chan Gailey, Dave Campo. It's all about who is going to get down on their knees and polish Jerry's 5000 dollar ostrich boots.

This is true, but you'd think after year after year of this approach not working for him, that he'd let a real coach take the reigns. He's an egomaniac that doesn't realize that a good coach would make him look like a a good owner, just like a bad coach makes him look like a power-hungry baffoon.

Well this doesn't work very well when you type it, but Denial (Da Nile) ain't just a river in Egypt. I don't think Jerry will ever admit that he himself is part of the problem.

That's okay; the media in Dallas is busy admitting it FOR him currently.
