OK, first things first, I resemble the redneck remark too much to be comfortable with it. Now, 43 drivers make each race, and yes, they all get points, on a sliding scale. There are bonus points for leading a race, as well as leading the most laps. Daytona is different from every other race in that the field is not set by one qualifying session. During Saturday's qualifying, only the first two qualifiers made it into the race. The other 41 drivers have to determine their starting spot during these two "duels" today. Boggity, boogity, boogity!:thumb:
Lap #5, Montoya, Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon. Kenseth is up to 8th after starting from the back of the pack. He's got a strong car today.
Lap 10, same top three, then Rudd, Marlin, Stremme, Harvick, McMurray, Kenseth. Kahne 14th, Reutimann 25th, not good for Mayfield/Skinner.
Correction---Not good for Skinner, Mayfield is one spot ahead of Skinner on time, so only needs EITHER Marlin OR Reutimann to race their way in.
Same top 3, then Rudd, Stremme, Vickers, Kurt Busch. Marlin shuffled back to 12th, Reutimann back in 29th! 39 to go .
Kyle Busch takes lead, Montoya with problem, seems like right front tire down. Caution is out, so he catches a HUGE break. He did tap the wall, though, so they have work to do.
I am reading EVERY word!!! Sorry I will start making comments in between to make it look like you are having a conversation and not just doing me a favor!!!
