As much as I know this is true I just cant help but feeling dirty after reading it. Maybe Holtz has morphed into something different because I cant for the life of me understand how that old fool on ESPN was ever a good football coach.

You realize this stat means very little considering most coaches that win National Championships have not coached multiple teams in their prime or at all.

And has also successfully left those schools with NCAA implications all over them dating back to his days up north.

It was also the UK decision to put more emphasis on the Basketball SECC than the football teams success...which, ultimately lead to Bryant moving on.

    Bear Bryant:

Bryant took UK to eight consecutive winning seasons (1946-53) and helped the Wildcats claim their first national championship and Southeastern Conference championship in 1950. He also sent UK squads to four bowl games which included the 1947 Great Lakes Bowl, 1950 Orange Bowl, 1951 Sugar Bowl, and the 1952 Cotton Bowl.
