did anyone see the "My Wish" segment on ESPN today? Today's was with Drew Brees. A 5 yr old boy's wish was to meet is favorite player on his favorite team. It was a tear-jerker.

The little boy, Devan, was born with half of a heart. He had three heart surgeries in the first three years. He's fine now, but he's limited to what he can do. And his favorite sport is football, but he can't ever play cause of his heart. But he is able to play t-ball due to the lack of physical contact, like football.

But Drew and the rest of the Saints organazation made is one wish come true. He got to meet all the players. They let him sit in on a team meeting. Coach Payton introduced him to the team in that meeting. They also took him to the practice facility during one day at mini-camp. He tossed the ball around with Drew and all the players signed a bunch of footballs for him. The best part was when the little boy's older brother told Coach Payton that Devan had a laser arm. Payton said "good, we haven't seen a laser arm around here in a long time." Drew was standing right next to him. It was good to see how much of a class organization the Saints are now.

Those pieces are moving. Though I'm no fan of Matt L. I saw one where a kid spent the day with him too. Don't remember the young man's exact situation, but had some kind of condition.

His name is Ryan Davidson and he had brain cancer. He's been in remission for awhile now but is still pretty sacked from all the medications he still has to take.
