It generally goes to a senior. Reid will be a junior. As the player most deserving - Josh Dworaczyk - is an offensive lineman, I vote for retiring the number for a year.

Dang I can't believe Russell Shepard is a senior already. Seems like we were just recruiting him. I would choose him because he has been nothing but a good teammate since he's been here. He went from being the top QB recruit in the land to changing roles without complaining and being a #2/#3 WR. And the thing is, I don't think he regrets it because he just wants to win with LSU. I can appreciate that.

Don't see Reid making his Sr. year.

That simply is not the case. Mauck wore it last as a junior, Hester didn't have any other number other than 18 his entire four years at LSU and Dickson inherited the number for his junior and senior year. Murphy and Taylor are the first two to wear 18 for their senior season only since Mauck decided who he wanted to pass the number to.

Let Hilliard wear it and tear up defenses like Jacob used to do.

Mo is #17. Taylor wears 18.

I think it should go to Copeland.
