Graham Harrell Colt McCoy Sam Bradford LeSean McCoy Michael Crabtree It's all about the Big 12 as far as offenses go. And offense does win the Heisman last time I checked. LeSean McCoy is special. Pitt's QB sucks to high hell and McCoy still gets his yardage, even when you know it's coming. And he can catch out of the backfield too. Crabtree hands down best WR in the country. Colt McCoy certainly didn't play a great game tonight, but he also didn't take himself out of consideration for the Heisman, either. It's Harrell's to lose at this point. Just keep winning. Easier said than done.
That's why I'm not ready to say the Big 12 doesn't play any defense this year. We have multiple teams that are super successful at playing some variance of the spread offense. We have multiple QBs that have been listed as Heisman candidates. It is unreal in the Big 12 this year especially in the South. OU, OSU, Tech, Texas would all kill Bama or PSU.
If there is no requirement that the team you play for loses and you can still be considered for the Heisman (a la Colt and LeSean) then Charles Scott should still be in the running. He has better stats then both Moreno and McCoy.
The defenses are better than the stats indicate but probably arent all that great. Plus if they played a team like Penn St. or Bama those teams would run all over them and control the clock so you wouldnt see much of Texas Tech's offense -- see '06 Cotton Bowl.
 no he doesn't? McCoy = 1004 yds 15 TDs Moreno = 990 yds 12 TDs Scott = 889 yds 11 TDs Moreno has one game up on Scott. But McCoy does not.
I'm referring to the fact that Scott has about the same averages, if not better, in most of his games and has 10 TDs with lesser yardage than Moreno.
Graham Harrell Colt McCoy Sam Bradford Tim Tebow Michael Crabtree I dropped McCoy after a horrendous day today and replaced him with Tebow.
