Yeah, they just don't give it to the best player.

Some Bama whore walked by me in a Wal Mart parking lot and exclaimed "Roll Tide" (I had LSU garb on) a few weeks back, and I simply exclaimed "9 6".

I bet you weren't aware of his stats.

And Wisconsin needed every single one of those yards and touchdowns on their way to the Rose Bowl and Big Ten Championship.

    That's a true Heisman winner.

Wisconsin lost 2 games, both by freak accidents. Neither of which had to do with lack of offense.

Always invite 3, and sometimes 4 if the voting is warranted.

In this case, I would think the voting is so splintered with RG III doing what he did Saturday. And now Mathieu shaking things up. They need to bring him just for the publicity of the event. Intrigue for a first time defensive player to ever win the award would be a smart thing for these people to do.

Looking at that voting, could they invite 5? Sure. If Barkley gets involved and it's a 3 way race for 4th, they could leave all of those guys out.

Who do y'all think will have the best NFL career? Luck has been tabbed as the #1 pick when he comes out but I'd give the edge to RG III based on the limited games I've seen each play.

I would expect Richardson to have a great NFL career also.

As for the Heisman vote, both the Wisconsin guys have great numbers and guessing they will end up taking votes away from each other.

Sorry but RG3's stats are good, but he isn't the best player in the country. Tyrann Mathieu is the best player in the country.

Per play involved, I agree Mathieu is the best player in the nation.

Per total plays impacting a game, I give that to RG III.

Mathieu was surrounded by a host of NFL caliber players around him on defense, making his job easier to go and make plays. But leave no doubt, he MADE the plays. Mathieu not playing in the Auburn game and his replacement (Ron Brooks) doing the best imitation of he Honey Badger pretty much shows that his presence wasn't needed for most of the schedule. Not his fault, but it is what it is.

Quick, name me all the skill position players on Baylor's team.

4642 yards of offense accounted for by RG III. 45 Touchdowns.

Mathieu can't touch that, unfortunately. He was never given the opportunity.

What is on Mathieu's side is in 4 of the 5 biggest games of the year (Oregon, West Virginia, Arkansas, Georgia), he was the game changer each and every time.
