Russell Wilson has some sick numbers but a lot of QB's would in that offense. Wisconsin has the exact same record and same bowl game as they did last year with an average QB. Monte Ball carries that team.

The thing RGIII has going for him is that he's a very classy player (media loves him) and he plays for Baylor. Gotta win some pity points there.

I agree Luck and LMJ should not be in the top 5. They choked when it mattered. Trent Richardson didn't do enough against us to be a top runner either.
TM7 deserves to be in NY this year, but realistically won't win it. (Politics) Setting up a legit Heisman campaign for next year though.

I haven't. He's got 15 more TD's than the best RB to ever put on pads? (according to espn)

I like your list although I don't think I would have Keenum anywhere on that list myself.

And a higher average per carry, and his team's defense was very leaky all season long and the offense often times had to outscore it's opponent.

I think of the Heisman as a combo of MVP + Stats.

RG III had both in spades this season.

They beat OU for the first time EVER, for God's sake.

It was only 3 years ago we had 41-7 OU vs Baylor scores, which were the norm for many many years.

I saw an interview with him last weekend, and I'm impressed. Dude didn't play last year and now has 38 TDs -- pretty amazing.

I also agree with your top three. I've been on the RG3 bandwagon since the OK game. I didn't hear his Heisman comment, but my impression from watching him play and listening to him in interviews is that he's pretty humble.

It would be hard for an athlete competing at that level not to have confidence enough in themselves to know they had a "Heisman Moment" and believe they should be at the top.

I hope he wins it not only because I think he's the best, but I live in gumpland and within 10 minutes of the BCS announcement last night, I received a "Bama's coming to get LSU" text. I know I could reply, but I get sick of trying to reason with those idiots.

January 9 won't be here soon enough.

You know what I would have replied.

"huh. Really we came to you last time and you lost, are you coming to see our SEC championship trophy ?"

One thing that I can't get off my mind is that I think it might be to our advantage if Richardson wins the Heisman and every other RB trophy, and have all of those Bama All americans win other awards. Kind of like what we faced when we play OU in 03. Then shut em all down with our D and gouge the Bama D for 42 points and 300 rushing yards!!!!!

Oh, I can think of 1,000 ways to reply, but it just doesn't penetrate their thick skull. I'd rather take the CLM approach and say "we would be honored to play you again", then harass the absolute crap out of them when we bring home the crystal. :hihi:

Wow .. it's hard to believe that the homers who vote are most likely to give it to Trent, when Monte Ball has clearly outperformed him.
