The way the polls work these days, I wouldn't be surprised if you are right. But if voters really watched that game last night, they may have seen Alabama beat a Florida team that isn't that good.
1. LSU 2. Wisconsin - Bama come on 3. Alabama - OU 4. Oklahoma - Wis 5. Stanford - I am ok with the rest of it - Bama might be #1 - but who cares !!!!! Nov 5th will be the 2 best teams on the same field with one of those great teams out of it - Les is more so the short guy will still be short and we will be in Atlanta. 6. Oklahoma State 7. Clemson 8. Boise State 9. Oregon 10. Texas 11. Arkansas 12. Michigan 13. West Virginia 14. South Carolina 15. Virginia Tech
I'm not sure Wisconsin can climb that high (#2) without a lot of help. tOSU is Gawd-awful this year, so even beating them won't get a big bump. Michigan is on the move, but not on the Wissies' schedule, nor is Iowa, who always gives them fits. I see the LSU/Bama winner getting a firm #1. Oklahoma #2 if they run the table, which they should. With the thought that Clemson, Boise, and Stanford might easily win them all, there may be no room at the Inn for Wisconsin.
I agree that Wisconsin will be left out in the cold in that situation. And it will be a shame. Wisconsin is better than OU and would give an SEC team trouble.
Nice. You are the man with this stuff, but this is one time where I'd have LSU/Bama 1 and 2, and I frankly don't know who to put at the top. Sure, I'd give LSU the nod because of our accomplishments so far. I think we all agree on that. But 'Bama is tough and this isn't going to get settled until we get on the field.
If you mean when the first BCS polls come out in a couple of weeks, LSU will be a FIRM #1. Bama and OU will fight it out for 2nd. LSU will be #1 in every single computer poll, most by a good margin.
