Robert Griffin has 13 TDs...and 12 INCOMPLETIONS this season. And he's the fastest QB in college football. I bow down...
He is playing at an exceptional level. He single handedly beat TCU and put Rice out of their misery even with 31 pts scored by Rice. That's why I have him #1 because not only is he putting up the glaring stats, but his team is counting on it to posts Ws. Same for Tajh Boyd. It's going to be a phucking shame not to hear his name mentioned by the idiots who help shape the public's perception of who they think should be regarded as Heisman material. Clemson's scores: 33-19 Troy 35-27 Wofford 38-24 Auburn 35-30 FSU You can easily argue Boyd should be leading the race.
It is Baylor and they will lose some games. But his early stock is up much like Robinson was, early last season. Luck is the NFL number one pick and the Heisman polls have always been about pomp and circumstances and did I mention prejudice?
Moore's competition isn't up to snuff and that's why I have him so low. I don't have an issue with Luck being in the race. In the two or three crucial games, I am looking for him to stand out and help lead his team to victory. If he does that, he will win it. Landry Jones on the other hand is just not playing well enough and when the team needed him to step up vs FSU, he did not. The defense single handedly won that game for them. As a great comparision, Boyd torched that same vaunted FSU defense for 35 points the following week.
I am in full agreement with your rankings but, just like rankings, performance on the field has less to do with rankings than perception and pre season expectations.
So someone finally thought in the history of Alabama football, that we had the best player. I don't get too worked up about it. Though he was as deserving as anyone and especially Colt, please don't make me go back in there, McCoy.
pre season expectations set up by the media, perpetuated by the media throughout the season all the way to New York
