how is Georgia ahead of LSU, Tigerbait? all-time, possibly, but Georgia has never played for the 'ship since the BCS started nearly a decade ago. just an observation. everything else about both ya'lls lists looks good, though.
LSU and Florida you could flip a coin. Could have easily put them #4 as well. LSU is a fluke Iowa touchdown away from finishing in the top 8 in the BCS for 5 straight seasons. Only USC can say that with a win over Illinois in the upcoming Rose Bowl (it will actually be top 4 for them for 6 straight years).
Man, you guys are sooooo way off bast putting FSU in there. They've been down for a while now and are in no way shape or form ready yet. Take a look at their schedule. Its been a roller coaster ride for a number of years. :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
5 years ago, I would have had FSU in the top 3 (MIami, OU, FSU probably). I think the correction down to number 10 or 11 is about right. They still have stability in coaching (now that they got rid of the brother as OC). They stumbled the past 3 years, but still managed at least a 7-5 record (unlike Miami).
I agree with your thoughts, and I am generally not a full supporter of Georgia, but mine was based on young talent with great recruiting the past couple of years with a young, good coach.
No bias, just telling like it is. You put bama there because of a long ago history and what might happen in the future. What 7-5 last year and 6-6 this year? Top ten? No way. bma is still living on history. I believe you just prove it. The paramaters need to be tightened up some. Say over the last decade.
2003: 4-9 2004: 6-6 2005: 10-2 2006: 6-7 2007: 6-6 That is 4 of the past 5 seasons with a non-winning record.
Like I did with most teams. Teams with good history generally have the resources to be a good team. I put Bama on there mainly because of how I think they are going to be, not because of Van Tiffin kicking field goals.
