I agree with Purple Tiger! Until they develop a playoff system (which they never will) I still believe if you can't win your conference, you don't get to play for a national championship. That would include LSU if they caved in to Georgia. I couls care less if 'Bama has the best whatever, they still lost out. They needed help and didn't get it. I say OK State jumps 'Bama.

Sagarin poll came out and left Oklahoma State at #3.

Now the Wolfe poll must come through for Oklahoma St, otherwise they are looking at having to take 37.5 % of the second place votes, vs only 25 %. That may be too much to overcome.

Izzy, what is the significance of Sagarin? Is this one of the computer polls? If so, regarding the computers, haven't they been placing Okie St #2?

Is the Wolfe poll normally released early in the day?

You have 6 computer polls the highest ranked and lowest ranked position for each team is dropped and the other 4 are averaged out.

One of the computer polls leaving Bama at #2 means that this ranking will be dropped. If another computer poll puts them at #2 that ranking will stick. We need the 4 averaged computer polls to all have Bama at #3 and Okstate at #2 for OSU to have a realistic shot at jumping Bama.

So the Wolfe poll won't matter? How can they announce the results without one of the polls being tallied?
