You may be right but I still think Tebow to Harvin was the difference in the game. It might've been a different game, closer game otherwise. I will confess that I didn't watch much if any in the 4th Quarter once I saw the score of the Oklahoma State vs Missouri score. I also wasn't in the mood to watch Florida take us to the wood shed anymore.
Most of those completions were exceptional plays by our WR just to make the catch. Lee threw off target, too hard or behind most of his intended receivers all night long. Lafell and Byrd are playmakers. If Lee can get the ball to them IN STRIDE they can turn 10-12 yard gains into 25 yard gains. Lee hasn't been very accurate so far, but I expect him to get better. We'll be pretty strong offensively once he comes around. The D, now that's another story..... :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I saw something that really pissed me off. The option. Everytime Tebow ran the option left, Alem would freeze and wait for the pitch to whichever 4.3 rb was in the game and try and catch him from behind. Why not commit to Tebow and nail him? Perhaps they stop running it. How in the hell do you get a delay of game on a kickoff? How do you get an illegal formation on a PAT? Are we really running a complicated FG scheme? And of course the blitz. Seriously. they are going to beat us in zone any way at least hit the dude. Bright spot. Peterson had a couple really good man to man coverage plays.
Agree with you there. Makes Ricky Jean's pre-game comments that much more foolish. There's no better opportunity to knock the snot out of a QB than on an option, since he doesn't get the same rules protection he gets while standing in the pocket to throw. The TV explanation was that Jasper kicked without it being blown into play. Of course, the ref generally doesn't give the kicker the ball until he's ready to start the clock. All in all a very strange penalty.
