I didn't say that you said he was never out-coached. I said, "but it's not treason to say that he got out-coached tonight." I believe he and the rest of the team were out-coached tonight, especially the D. BUT The season isn't over though and there's plenty of time to get things in gear. It's just going to be hard with such a young, sporadic QB and a very, very suspect D.

Lee is a freshman. At one point in the game, he was 1-5. At another point, he was 11-12. He's streaky. How well do you think anyone else would have done at QB with like 20 yds rushing from what a lot of us were calling a Heisman candidate? FWIW, I'm not laying this on CS. The OL didn't do their job tonight either.

Hatch is not the answer, although he played admirable tonight when he was in, and I just like the dude.

Experience is the answer. Lee can't get it with Hatch taking over.

The same can be said of the defense, although the line play was not good tonight at all. RJF was out, but still. What's going on there? But the secondary needs experience...as do the LBs.

I did say that Lee is not a bad quarterback, just inexperienced. I think we agree on that.

At this point I still feel better about LSU then I did under Saban in his down years. We just got beat down tonight; Florida was the better team. The way we held on in the first half was valiant, in my mind. Somehow, Miles has made me a believer.

I agree with everything except saying LSU wasnt outcoached. LSU was outcoached by a mile. The D made no adjustments, no blitz packages, etc. The O didnt do anything to make holes for the run game.

    emry123,

Do us a favor and shut up already. When the opposing team puts up 51 points on your team in regulation, your gonna lose every single time. QB was not our biggest problem at all in this game. Not even close.

By the way, Ryan Perrilloux threw FIVE interceptions tonight in leading his Jacksonville St. team to a loss against Eastern Kentucky or somebody. I don't think he is as good as you think he is in your head. When you're dumb off of the field, you're usually not to bright on of the field. Miles did him a favor. I hope that he learned some kind of lesson.

Our D and lack of a running game were our biggest issues. The QB played okay even though he had a few bad plays (the int. for the score was HUGE). When you don't have blocking and a running game to help you, it's going to be tough to throw the ball. Still, we had some success.

Had our D stopped them at all in the second half, we might have had a chance. Our D was timid the whole night. We didn't attack option plays and waited for Tebow to make his move before we did anything. BIG mistake. Against them you have to penetrate the line and make them speed up the play. Otherwise, their speed guys are in perfect position by the time he pitches it and then they're off to the races. You have to gamble and we didn't tonight. We let them dicatate everything.

Oh, and Meyer is a jacka$$. But if you can't keep up with a team or stop them, then get off the field or don't show up to begin with. We almost deserved it the way some of our players were talking even though we were getting stomped. Come on, pull it together...

This game was lost for two reasons

    1. Florida playing in the Swamp at night, pissed off after a loss to UM and a comment by RJF were on their game. LSU was flat.

    2. Florida dominated the line of scrimmage both ways. Except for interceptions and yards per completion LSU passing stats were comparble to Fla. Lee 23/38 for 209 yds and 2 TD. Tebow14/21 210 yds, 2 TD.
Lee had two ints. though and only 5.5 yds avg. Tebow had no ints and a 10 yd. average. Harvis as always was the big target with 6 receptions for 112 yds.

WOW! get this. LSU had 80 yds. rushing. Scott was 12/35. FLA had 281 yds. rushing with Demps 10/126.

LSU needs to take today to feel bad and then get back to work. The season aint over yet.

Young QB's, Young DB's, a buzz saw in meeting a hungry Florida team. The defense did well to only be down 20-7 in the first half. Could have easily been 35-0. My biggest concern is the lack of adjustments on defense in the second and no real game plan for the offense in the 1st except for the last drive of the half.

Get Lee a few more starts and he will be OK. Hatch will work in that he will remain a grounded feature of the offense. I look for major improvements against USCe
