I'm sure you thought the Cowboys should have been there. I almost put the Eagles there and I should have based on what happened today.
Yeah, San Diego should be in that last spot, especially considering the way they're hammering Denver.
I think I will find a spot for them in my last poll. And the Saints proved today they belonged in that 10th slot. They almost ruined the Panthers season by forcing them to play on the road as a wild card.
I honest to God wouldn't have wanted the Boys there. I just would have wanted someone . . . . anyone with playoff aspirations.
Or to others, they showed why they didn't by blowing a lead at home in the last seconds to fall just short . . . like they have in close games ALL SEASON. When it happens 1-2 times, it's a trend. When it happens 5-6 times out of 16, it's an identity. This team can't win the close ones. Before someone comes in and tries to be a comedian, I know that's the Cowboys' problem, too. That's what happens when you build your football team around throwing the ball 45 times a game and don't gear it toward the ground-game. Passing teams win in September and October. Ground and pound teams win when it counts.
