1. New England (10-0) -- 2. Dallas (9-1) -- 3. Green Bay (9-1) +1 4. Indianapolis (8-2) -1 5. Jacksonville Jaguars (7-3) +3 6. New York Giants (7-3) +1 7. Tampa Bay Bucs (6-4) +3 8. Arizona Cardinals (5-5) +3 16. Philadelphia Eagles (5-5) +1 On the Bubble (Denver, Houston, Buffalo, New Orleans) Notice the gap between teams 1 and 2. 7 teams with records of 7-3 or better, 7 teams with records of 3-7 or worse, everybody else in between 6-4 and 4-6 (18 teams)....parity reigns supreme
Before I opened this thread, i thought the same thing. There's New England in a world by themselves and then there's the rest of the league.
I agree on the rankings, though after #1 and then #5, the gap is incredible. I would have Pittsburgh at #5, despite a loss to the Jets. They were on the road against a fiesty Jets team AND had a bad game. That happens to everyone in the league, except New England. Really, I wouldn't even bother ranking them after the top five. 1. Pats 2. Cowboys 3. Packers 4. Colts 5. Steelers
...thank you! Green Bay just might have enough defense to slow down NE enough to stay in the game. Next week should speak volumes when they play the 'Boys.
Really looking forward to that game. Green Bay plays those 5 wide receiver sets and I know the Cowboys defensive backfield is vulnerable. Now that this Grant kid has given the Pack some stability in the running game, they are that much harder to defend. Looks like a 35-31 game. Could go either way. I am picking the Pack.
the winner of the game will be the team who finishes more drives with TDs, than touchdowns... I think Dallas wins, b/c I am obviously biased, but it can go either way... Home field isn't "home field" for Green Bay this year, though, b/c the snow would actually slow down what they do without the power running game they used to always have.
are you a fan of the Steelers? Jaguars > Pittsburgh. I'll take losses over the Saints, Colts and Titans over losses against the Cards Broncos and Jets...
Not at all. I really don't like them, actually. I even try to, since I like Tomlin and their fans, but just don't like the Steely McBeams. I just think they can match up better than most teams. Those losses are about even in my opinion, though I normally prefer to look at who teams have beaten as a better barometer. The Jags are tough -- I just think they're missing something. I don't know what it is, and it's probably because I don't have a lot of faith in Garrard at this point.
