I like the way Bill Simmons of ESPN puts his Poll together. Note his updated list, factoring in this past Sunday, won't be out until this Friday: THE WEEKLY POWER POLL BRUCE COSLET DIVISION 32. just curious, but how is 2-loss pittsburgh, who lost to Arizona ahead of Dallas who only lost to the Pats?
I seem to recall them not having Polamalu and/or Hines Ward for those games. It's a completely different team w/o their best two players.
then why are the Colts not #1? They barely lost to the Pats without Harrison. you of all people shouldn't look at it that way. If it weren't for injuries, the Rockets would win 65 games every year. lol Edit: P.S. what was the excuse vs. Denver?
Dallas should have a loss vs Buffalo, and that was when they were 0-3. That was a fluke win. I just think Pitt would beat Dallas if played on a Neutral field. That is how I rank my teams.
the Jags did just suffer a complete beating, but I think with Garrard they are a good football team. Are they #5? I don't think so, but they are capable of stealing one in the second round of the playoffs from a Colts or Steelers team imo.
Invalid? Sure...I guess. I did mention at the beginning of the post that his updated rankings don't come out until this coming Friday. Here's my list: SACRIFICIAL DIV II NFC REPRESENTATIVE TEAM 8. New Orleans (tons of flaws, here for sentimental reasons only) 7. NY Giants 6. Green Bay 5. Dallas Possible AFC Championship Game team that will lose to N.E. 4. Tennessee 3. Pittsburgh 2. Indianapolis 2007 Super Bowl Champions 1. New England
I like this ranking the teams stuff. I'll stick with legit (or somewhat) legit contenders only: AFC: 1. Patriots 2. Colts 3. Steelers 4. Jaguars 5. Chargers NFC: 1. Dallas 2. Green Bay 3. Giants 4. Saints 5. Redskins 6. Lions* Overall: 1. Pats 2. Colts 3. Steelers 4. Cowboys 5. Jaguars (with a QB) 6. Chargers *they would be #3 if they weren't the Lions
