I am so proud of our Tigers. They left it all out on the field at Bryant-Denny tonight. Like everyone else here I thought we coulda, shoulda won. But, we didn't for a number of reasons which have been covered adnauseum in other threads. My hope is that their spirit is not broken. We started this season ranked #3 or 4 in the SEC west. Most of us would have settled for 9 and 3, hoped for 10 and 2. Well, 10 and 2 is not unreasonable at all. In fact, we will probably be favored the rest of the season. So Tigers, hold your heads high. You gave the #1 and #3 teams in the country all the wanted and you can still make this a memorable season for all of us!:geauxtige
I agree 100%, I hope this team retains the will to continue to improve and earn a good bowl game and bowl win. I agree they left it all on the field, so many of them, Peterson, Scott, just all of them. Nothing to be ashamed of losing to Florida and Bama, two very good football teams. Any shot we get a rematch with one of them??? Doubt it, but... It may be one of the better games available.
I agree with you guys but man, I'm scared to death because of injuries. I hope all our injuries aren't too bad, JJ returns hopefully next week. Yes, lets hope they are able to play this well to finish the season!
I think they'll be alright and run the table the rest of the way. It's not the same situation like last year, when the Ala loss in OT sealed the team's fate (subsequent losses in SEC play and the almost loss to Troy). This year's team has to realize they are talented and still have a chance to finish 10-2, which is nothing to be ashamed of at all. :geauxtige
:geaux: Thanks for a great, positive post. Our Tigers played their hearts out today and deserve our support! Thanks. :LSU231:
I agree 100% I am just so frustrated because I wanted to win, I Love the LSU fam and I might have said some things in my post that might not have been positive. I apologize to all you guys and the Tiger fam I stand corrected, Love you guys and the LSU Tigers :geaux: I will strive to be more positive in the future.
65GRAD, You said what we all are really feeling right now. We were not really given a chance to be a factor. We improved each week. These guys have lots of heart. I hate to see the injuries. Hopefully some of the younger guys will get some more PT now and have a chance to improve for the future. But damn I have got to say that this team has gotten better every week. No steps backward. Not many teams can say that. Did anyone see Iowa, or ND, or Oregan. Our Tigers have only lost to the #1 and #3 (#2 before off week) team in the country, and they were a worthy opponent. Thanks TIGERS... I am proud of you.
