My greatest nightmare was that the game would be put in Jordan Jefferson's hands. We've seen this crap for the last 3 years and this is no different. Absolutely pathetic showing from our offense. We all knew Bama would be motivated but our guys are choking in the worst way thinking they were the greatest team ever. BS

Les Miles greatest trait is his loyalty. And it was his downfall today. OUR RECEIVERS WERE BEATING THEIR DBs CONSISTENTLY yet no one could get them the ball. One of the greatest tragedies of the past few years. Trying to make Jordan Jefferson into something he's not.

This coaching staff ought to be absolutely embarrassed by the lack of preparation in this game. Everyone was too busy accepting awards and garnering in praise to actually put in the hard work.

The 2011 team could have been great, but the legacy will be that they choked it away in the big game.

I would not think that LSU would end up ranked at #2.

To me, it doesn't matter if we end up #2 or #3. We blew our chance at the goal which we had. It was a young team, and I hope they learn from this for next year.

They finished second, but at least in the AP poll, more voters actually slotted OSU 1st than LSU (4-1).

Miles stated that it was Jefferson's ability to run and evade pressure that made him the guy. But last night he seemed afraid to get hit. On the option he would just toss it to the back 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage, then just STAND THERE; didn't even try to block or attack his man and the RB would get a vicious hit for a loss. And then he'd yell at the runner. Because it's never your fault, is it Jefferson.

His body language on the sidelines was poor, and he passed it on to the rest of the team. The team needed a leader and it didn't get one.

Edward Aschoff of ESPN tweeted that "Jordan Jefferson said he thought he played well tonight but the offense as a whole didn't execute ... discuss". That's a summary of Jefferson's entire stay here. Never his fault.

In 25 years of watching football this too was my absolute worst nightmare. It's gonna take a long, long time to get over the sting of this one. Maybe I'll never get over it. Oh well, maybe if the Saints win another Super Bowl I'll feel better...

yep. They also got plenty of first downs, made it to the endzone, and got on the damn scoreboard.
