I have been a lifelong :helmet: fan, but have never had the opportunity to get to BR for a game. It has always been a dram/goal of mine to get down there for a game. When my best friend called yesterday morning with an extra ticket I was on cloud 9. On our way in to Tiger Stadium we saw the entrance of Mike VI followed by the band and the playing of the alma mater along with thousands of other Tiger fans. We sat in section 417 (Purple Endzone) and I gotta tell you guys- the sound of 90,000+ enthused Tiger Fans is an awesome experience. There is nothing that compares to it. Did losing the game, our #1 ranking and most likely our shot at a NC ruin my trip? Last night on our 3 1/2 hr drive home I would have said "YES". We were crushed!! After sleeping on it I had a chance to reflect on the experience. The game was exhilerating. The crowd was pretty fired up in the second half and I finally got to witness Death Valley!!! Today, I say "NO WAY"!!! I am as heartbroken and dissappointed as everyone else, but I have decided to be realistic about things. We finished the regular season 10-2 and are headed for the SECCG. There are 10 teams that would trade places with us in a heartbeat. We win next Sat night and we're at least headed to the Sugar Bowl and our Tigers will get the rest and recovery that they need. Sounds pretty awesome to me!!! I will never forget the 2007 LSU Tigers, or my trip to Tiger Stadium. :geauxtige
No worries. I had a blast! I would prefer the team have won for themselves and everything they had riding on a "W". :geauxtige
