yeah. back in the day i bet players on teams like the 1958 tigers would cherish the hell out of anything that they earned -- and i'm sure it wasn't a golden ring worth as much as that thing's worth. i guess a lot of kids these days want fame and fortune and use football as a means to achieve it. i guess i can't knock them for not being loyal to a school, but damn, for the love of the game man!
well my point is that it wasn't as rampant and widespread back then. i know how sentimental old farts are about their military stuff. :hihi: i'd think that they'd be as sentimental about something akin to a national championship ring.
Maybe when they were younger. But it still depends on character, though. That's the biggest thing. If you've earned something and you're proud and want to display it for life because of how proud you are, then you'll keep it. If you're a money hungry fool, you'll sell it. Bottom line.
