Overall talent is not a problem for our Tigers; we just have deficiencies at key positions, namely the offensive line. For whatever reason, we're just not getting the same production as in prior years from the OL. This lack of production from the OL clearly handcuffs what the coaches can do with the play calling. Last year, we would have run Scott out of the I -formation on every 3rd and 1 play. Today we were running option and throwing passes out in the flat. LSU!
Someone gets it. Without an Oline you are more than limited in what you can do. Dline is having injury problems but have been helped big time by the improved play of the secondary.
Since they averaged over 7 yds. a carry when feeding it to the RBs on that last drive, I'd say it was a pretty dumb call. Since we knocked it away, it seems even dumber. It was close to working. But we all know where close gets you... I was so glad we stopped it because it was very similar to that faggot jump pass that Mullen used to call at Florida against us and others. Our D did a GREAT job though on that stand.
yeah, good first post mac n cheese stick around. being stout on both lines is a must for a premier team. we have inexperience on one side as well as underperforming upperclassmen (the D) and the O line is young in the middle. although right now, coach stud is my least fave coach on the team. also the qb is 19 and i think he's improving every game. i've said before that i think we're a year away from being back to where we need to be but miles needs to not lose the fans in the meantime. i sometimes think we don't play the smartest football in the world, and i hate to say that but its not getting any better this season. i hope it starts to click in a hurry or we're gonna need 7 turnovers to beat the other bulldogs next week.
