The Huntsville (AL) Times reports this morning that Mitch Mustain has recommitted to Arkansas. www.al.com (see Huntsville Times/Sports)
Not entirely surprised. After all, the Hogs DID hire his current high school coach.... Nothing like having a "daily visit" from your potential college coach.... I just hope he keeps throwing like he did for the US Army All-American game: Sporadicly.
Looking at the list now, I see it didn't include Texas. I just remember last season Texas was going after Mustain after he had already committed to Arkansas. Still, out of Notre Dame; Arkansas; Alabama; and Tennessee, Arkansas is the lesser of all evils.
According to Mustain, that was the reason he pulled his verbal in the first place. He felt, his HS coach used him to get the OC job. Honestly, the kid didn't really have any other choices, did he? ND is full, Bama moved on to McElroy, then their is UT who I can't say is a "haven for peaceful QB's" at this time.
After seeing his performance in the US Army All-star game I am not worried about him. Unless the hogs have 2 or 3, 8'11" receivers he can't hit 'em!
ND wanted him bad but they will be ok because they are the front runners for ole jimmy clasuen next year.
I tell you that he will have a hard time starting over Dick. Casey Dick was very impressive to me against LSU, and he is going to only become better. Mustain had better be ready to compete.
