Yes I can deny it, and I just spelled out why. If you want to analyze everything through the "I hate Les" prism, have at it. I'm going to watch what happens on the field and determine if it was poor coaching, poor execution or - and I love how no one ever allows for this - maybe the other team got the job done, which MSU did all through the second half by moving the ball and denying us decent field position. If we revert back to leather helmet football next week, I'll bitch about it, but "Lack of focus over the last 5 years" is irrelevant to tonight's results

Regardless, following the bullshit we saw in Wisconsin, we are doing far better than I anticipated. If we continue to improve, which is a big if, we could be a good team. A great team. I'm sure the team is actually starting to believe we are legit after last year's shit show.

What's crazy to me is, even a NC wouldn't convince me that Miles has this figured out. It's like Etling has fallen into his lap against his will. At this point I find it hard to believe miles hasn't backed into all the success he's enjoyed. Here's hoping he backs into another run of success.

We determine this every fucking game. Seriously. We always do this to ourselves.

    IF we made that catch.

    If we didn't fumble.

If we didnt have that penalty.
    IF
    IF
    IF.

There is a reason we look like Mud Butt on a regular.

Im serious dude, MSU is finishing last in the West.

And I agree. The intensity needs to be amped up with a quickness. Just has too.

Bench warmer Manning came in the game and almost beat us. That shit cannot happen vs the better teams.

The offense is much better, but these damn trick plays need to stop and we need to focus on getting our elite talent in space. Thats it. Just do that and we win most the games we play.

I don't disagree with most of what you've said, but the lack of focus the last 5 years is relevant. I feel like I'm watching a team that's starting to remember how to believe in itself again, waking slowly from a long hibernation.

I celebrate the more ballsy offensive play calling (the commentators talking about running the ball must not have been paying attention to the last 5 years of LSU football). I celebrate the victory and the many improvements we've seen from week 1.

But a healthy dose of scepticism when it comes to Miles is warranted. We've still got our toughest games ahead of us.

A win is a win is a win.
Perhaps we have a decent qb
I did not like uniforms. They looked like Ga Tech.

I didn't hate the trick plays, but I was hoping they would set something else up. I was fucking shocked when we were slinging the ball up by a bit in the second half, and disgusted for MooU that Mullen put in the backup with so little time left in the game. Really Mullen? You substitute at that point? Jeeze.

First of all, we won. Its ok to enjoy a victory, even if it wasn't a work of art. If...if...if.... so how are we supposed to react? "Shit, if Nick Saban were our coach, that MSU loser wouldn't have been strong enough to get both hands on the ball and rip it out of LF's hands on 4th and 1?" And you might be right about MSU being worst in the West, but what I said in that last post remains a simple truth that people just overlook. There were 85 guys good enough to earn major college scholarships on the other side of the field, and sometimes, those guys make plays. They made some. They didn't make enough. LSU wins.

i enjoy winning too. I just am not blind and see Miles is not a solution to the pay check we pay him. Being average is not worth 5 mil. Sorry.

As I wrote this, I wish the grass eater to prove me wrong. But he won't.

I'll attach hope to the little bits of improvement I saw and expect a better performance each and every week.

Maybe it's the Patron talking, but Elmer looks very passive on sidelines almost to level of spectator. I think he's already been told the buy out money is there and next year he won't be . He can step down or be fired. For now it's his choice.
