That Special teams play was very nice. Almost like LSU was ready for it. Great effort by our guys. All around swell play.
I actually did watch every painful moment. I can't tell if this post is meant to excuse Miles; sloppy, undisciplined play and a lack of concentration has been the norm under water head. Disappointed in fournette, who is probably playing hurt, but dude still went well over 100 yards. Aranda doesn't get an A grade, but I love the play of the D when it was time for nut cutting; the Chief would have shriveled, as we saw many times. The offense shit the bed again after halftime.
No, @tirk dear, they won tonight because AU has an even worse offense than we do. You think we have QB problems? How about their QB running out of bounds, untouched, two yards short of the first on 4th and 18?
I would say Miles doesn't need an excuse. We won the game. Obviously it wasn't flawless. The three variations on reverses in the first quarter were downright stupid calls. And the end of the half drive was yet another clock management issue, albeit a minor one; we probably should have got one more play off and we did get points. I'm just pointing out the many things that went against us in the second half that you simply can't blame on coaching.
Chavis baby. The fight is real. He left Les bc of that auburn stupidity. Who can blame him after tonight.
Chavis left Les because he figured Les was about to be fired (since a similar clause was put into his Tennessee contract right before Fulmer was canned.) And that almost came to fruition and likely should have. The funny thing is that Chavis went over to a program that is at least as vulnerable and volatile of a coaching situation as LSU is.
