We'll never really know what happened. Its all spin now or silence. Even if people are telling the truth, we all see things from our own perspective anyway.

thats a copout if you want to see things a certain way. this one is pretty black and white. it sucks our coach folded like a cheap tent but he did. he even admitted it.

let's not pretend we need a transcript of everything to see it for what it is. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

It was the correct call. The most he would have gotten out of Benton was one year. The guy had 'one and done' written all over him.

A big time college coach is called upon to make difficult decisions like that every day. I would far rather he make a call like this rather than do the safe thing and leave the program short again. The last time Miles did "the right thing" he promoted two assistants to co-coordinators.

We know how that turned out.

the correct call is honoring your previous commitment and randle's as well. if he walks, he walks. But you dont allow a player/parent to dictate your program publically.

not even perrilloux made it quite that far.

and in the aftermath, we have quite possibly the best wide receiver on our team after lafell on a conference rival.

im sorry but this is a bunch of b.s.

first of all, i hate the fact that this dude's dad is speaking for him, about sharing playing time. if he is so bad ass, he should have no problem earning a spot.

secondly, what the hell ever happened to competition? You would think that if you were the "best" you would welcome all challenges, healthy competition can do nothing but help this kid.

I dont like the way miles handled this, and i think it bit us in the ass because we didnt land kelly or bell, and benton was probably a better land then both of those guys.

Its great to be a concerned parent, and i would be as well, but i damn sure wouldnt try and force my kid to make a decision based on what my feelings were, and i wouldnt want my kid to have a "free ride" with no adversities. Adversity and competition builds character, and the last thing we need is a future prima donna wide receiver that is going to turn into an anquan boldin, or terrell owens.

Any decent and loving father gives his son his best advice, then backs off and let's his son make his own decisions for himself.
