Damn straight. I cant believe everyone is jumping on him for making a difficult choice. He obviously put LSU first and Les was just doing the right thing. The nit shiit fans need to STFU.

Miles could have lied to both of them and caught them in some deadly web. Don't recruits all the time decide on schools based on need or perceived need at their position?

I think if it had been someone other than a kid that can barely spell football and probably won't play more than a year, then the outcome would have been different. I assure you, Les will tell mr. randle to shove it up his a$$ from now on. He has the signature, and he has the power now.

    Nope.

I think Miles was trying to get 3 WR in this class-Randle, Benton and K Bell.

Potentially, we were going to lose 4: Byrd to graduation, Lafell to the NFL, Mitchell to baseball and Ricky Dixon transfered.

We needed to sign more than 1, IMO.

Then why take Randle if he'd waver with other WRs taken if we needed more than 1?

I don't think I have a problem with how it went down. Look, its a free country and RR can sign anywhere he wants. Players go to other schools for a variety of reasons, and early playing time is often one of those reasons. LSU does have a deep and talented receiver corp. If I was RR, or if you put yourself in RR's shoes, look at the depth chart, and ask yourself if DB signed also, would you want to deal with that, or go to another school that can contend for BCS bowls but which has needs immediately at receiver, what would you do?

I've given bosses ultimatums in the past when I was young and good lookin! They didn't like it. I said you can call it an ultimatum, or just the plain truth. Would you rather I lie, or hand you my resignation with no warning? It went down the wrong way, and I resigned 7 weeks later. I'm with the same company I jumped ship to, 19 years later. The one I quit was acquired and the corp. headquarters where I used to work is closed and 90% of the staff let go. I saw where we were headed, I didn't like the picture, and I bailed. But I gave them a fair and truthful opportunity to do something about it. An ultimatum, or just the plain truth? Either way, its what you have to do for yourself sometimes. Nobody is looking out for you, except yourself.

Then Les had to deal with a new reality. Timing kinda sucked. Life can be that way. He made the correct call, IMO. Sometimes you just gotta hold your nose and do it.
