Whether he wants to call it that, or not, it was an ultimatum. Seems that his story holds up everything we thought. Miles had to make a choice, and he decided to pull a scholarship based on what the father told him. Doesn't change much from last week.
He did OK trying to explain it but based on what he said its obvious how it went down. He pretty much admits it. "playing time was going to play in their decision" "No point in Benton and Reuben competing for the 3rd spot" "I didnt give coach Miles an ultimatum but I told him how it was going to be"
It bothers me too. But it seems like most of the young studs like to tell the coaches how it is going to be. I get the feeling that Les-tecles doesn't much put up with that crap.
me too. dear mr randle, just drop your son off at lsu and then hit the road. thanks. hopefully, now that he has signed his loi, miles will tell the man to stfu when he starts trying to micromanage the program. if he wants to pull his son for a transer, the kid is welcome to sit out a year and be restricted to where he can go.
What if, Rueben Randle gets here and he's no better than Tim Molton, Chris Tolliver, Deangelo Peterson or either of the Mitchell's? What if he doesn't get early playing time because he isn't as good as those guys who are already here? Will Mr. Randle accept that? How will Reuben handle that? I hope Reuben doesn't think he is going to just show up and be better than everyone else. It won't be easy. If he's in the game I hope it's because he's the most capable WR. I hope Les makes him earn it. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
