WE have moved to #3 on rivals and al woods moved into a top ten prospect with a few more big commits this could be a #1 class bc ga and tx already have 24 commits i think this is a great job by the staff and hope they continue the great job:geauxtige
If I counted right, we currently have 18 commits - so how many more does that mean we sign this period without going over the scholarship limit?
We have 18 commits plus I think we have to use one of the 25 available for THolliday (grayshirt) However a few of the commits may be soft or may have grade issues (who we could place or encourage to attend JC) Most LSU recruiting watchers are of the opinion we will get commits of 27-28 and find a way to get 25 to sign LOI's Keep in mind that a couple of potential Tigers like Eugene have said all along they wish to wait until the end of the process possibly even as late as signing day to "announce" intentions to public, (they may give a private commit to staff ?????) :geauxtige
I think we'll take about 29 including Holiday and greyshirt or place the extra 4. I am thinking we will end up about number 5 when the LOI's come in on signing day behind S. Cal., Miami, FSU, tOSU. Maybe as high as 4.
We can over-sign (you have to figure that 2-3 recruits will have to be grey-shirted). So that also means that Texas and UGA still have some "play" in how many more they will sign.
You think USC will move all the way to #1 by signing day? Currently, the Trojans are 25th (granted, I know they will move up a lot between now and then, but I don't know if they'll have enough to bypass Texas and UGA).
USC will sign all their big players in january...so yes a #1 class is probably imminent altho, if Carroll takes an NFL job in late december, much like Saban did last year, then that will ultimately affect their class and they won't be #1
